The first First Great Western Class 166 Thames Valley Turbo DMU was officially launched by Transport Minister Theresa Viliers on 29th March 2011 at Paddington Station.
The £8m of improvements include new flooring and seat coverings as well as the new TrainFX Advanced Passener Information System, heating and air conditioning systems.
Refreshed units are entering service on the Thames Valley network at a rate of one every two weeks and completion of the entire fleet of Turbo units will take another 18 months.
