TrainFX has been awarded a contract by Wabtec Rail for the provision of their real-time passenger information system and automatic passenger counting system for the Eversholt Rail Group owned/Southern operated Class 313 (EMU) fleet. The Derby-based Rail Technology Company will be responsible for system design and supply of the TrainFX Passenger Information, Communication and Security system (PICS) – Passenger Information (pi) module, for 19 x 3-car Class 313 EMU's.

 

The Product will be delivered to Wabtec Rail at their Doncaster facility as part of a major refurbishment project which is being undertaken on behalf of Southern Rail. TrainFX Managing Director Phil Campbell said "This is another important Contract success for TrainFX in the UK and one which allows us to further demonstrate our new advanced passenger information system and to work with one of the UK's leading train refurbishment Company's".
