The TrainFX Advanced Passenger Information System is a Rail approved, modular designed system, that fully complies with the PRM TSI requirements. The system is location aware through GPS tracking and vehicle based interfaces and is open to secure real time communications.
Automated messages are delivered via both visual displays and open audio and feature:
- Station arrival announcements
- Train destination information
- Security notices
- Late running announcements
The module is also able to deliver other real time services:
- Real-time travel reports such as underground/tram/bus or flight connections
- Service disruption information
- Train operator messaging
The system has a full remote download capability to allow for the efficient loading of stored data such as revised route details and can provide real-time reporting of system performance to a remote operations or maintenance facility ensuring high availability of the system.
